The Apartment Association of Greater Knoxville (AAGK) is a professional organization, comprised of apartment owners and managers, communities, and vendors of the multifamily housing industry. Its mission is to inform, educate, connect and impact those working in or providing products and services to multifamily housing in Knox and surrounding counties. The AAGK is affiliated with both the Tennessee Apartment Association (TAA) and the National Apartment Association (NAA). Each AAGK member is a member of both of those organizations as well, with access to the numerous services that each provides.

  • Professional development for you and your employees through a large number of education and networking programs

    • Nationally-recognized designations to improve industry knowledge and professional skills, such as National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician I and II (CAMT) and Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS)
    • Focused seminars on topics such as Fair Housing and the Tennessee Landlord Tenant Act, designed to educate multifamily housing professionals on industry issues and trends

    • Legal Resource Book containing selected federal laws, Tennessee state laws and sample forms

  • Up-to-date and comprehensive local market information including vacancies, turnover, rental rates, square feet, amenities, and more through a Quarterly Market Analysis
  • Access to the people who provide the products and services that you need through Associate Spotlights, a Trade Show and the annual Buyers Guide, a handy reference tool listing all vendor members by the services they provide.

    • New Member Orientation, with its opportunity to learn how to get the most from your membership
    • Awards recognizing outstanding achievement within the association
    • An annual Voter Registration Drive
    • A Beautification Contest evaluating your community's curb appeal

Become a Member!
Dues are paid on an annual basis. In accordance with AAGK Bylaws, an Owner-Manager must register all rental units within the Greater Knoxville area (Knox and contiguous counties). If you qualify as an Owner-Manager and an Associate, you must first join as an Owner-Manager. To apply for membership, click here.
